Since 1978 the Minnesota Trail Riders Association has been promoting recreational equestrian trail riding by:

• developing and maintaining trails
• distributing trail riding information
• working in cooperation with government agencies and private individuals.

MTRA is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. All of our board members donate their time and skills to benefit the organization.

Thanks to our members and donors we are able to support Minnesota horse trails and campgrounds. We also partner with the DNR to secure Federal matching funds for every MTRA dollar spent on trails and campgrounds.

MTRA sponsors numerous family oriented trail rides every year. We sponsor one out-of-state ride each year known as the “Adventure Ride”. Our newsletter is published five times each year and lists other trail rides as well as informative articles.
